‘You have Callan’s number,’ Darya said. ‘Why don’t you call him directly?’
‘You know how it is,’ Harley said. ‘Any conversation I have with your brother can’t last five minutes without turning into a fight.’
‘Yet, you still want him at your show.’
‘Not as my friend. As Callan the megastar. His name is going to draw a huge crowd.’
‘But I’m not his publicist.’
‘Please, will you talk to him? At least pass on the invitation? I won’t hold it against you if he says no.’
Darya had put the call on speakerphone.
She saw Callan nod.
‘Fine. My brother will be there.’
‘That’s great! See you then!’
Harley hung up.
Callan crossed his legs and cleared his throat. ‘I’m kinda busy. I’ll have to consult my schedule first.’
