The next day, I woke up late. Kagabi nagdesisyon lumabas ang kambal ni Caleb sobrang taranta ng pinsan ko. I drove them to the hospital and didn’t leave until the wee hours of the morning.
Si Chloe at CJ ay naiwan sa bahay nina Caleb at Kris at naghintay sa pag-uwi ko.
“Coffee?” alok sa akin ni Chloe. Bihis na s’ya at ganoon din si CJ. He just finished having his breakfast.
“Yes, please. Thank you.” Naupo ako sa bar stool.
After Chloe handed me my coffee, she sat down beside me. Hindi pa rin niya ubos ang kape niya at sinabayan ako.
“Was that your first cup?”
Umiling si Chloe. “Second one. But I’m only drinking a small amount. How was Kris and the babies?”
