I woke up to someone standing beside me and my heart raced as I quickly scanned my surroundings. The rock was back in its place and nothing was shining past it! Did I imagine that happening? It couldn’t have been because what else would have knocked me out?
I got up just as Lilly and Orin stormed into my office and my heart sank at the sight of the two of them. Lilly rushed to my side, but Orin had his eyes on Lilly even though he was asking me what happened. Thankfully, after what happened with Jack, Orin thought I had been attacked, and I realized that I could use this to my advantage. I just had to be very careful how I played this.
