Chapter 2

The place was packed with people from the elite society, those people who wear shiny dresses and expensive suits. The women walked with chins held up high, their beautiful dresses filled with different kinds of rare gems, jewelry that is made of high-quality stones. They took pride in showcasing how well-off they are. As for the gentlemen in the party, they talked about business and boost their achievements and how they built empires after empires.  

From filthy rich businessmen to wealthy politicians and famous celebrities, all gathered to witness the engagement of the mighty and one of the hottest bachelors in town, Fabian Luigi Romano to the only heiress of a multi-billion company, Elvira McIntosh.  

Lahat ng dumalo ay puro may sinasabi sa buhay, lahat ay suot ang pinakamamahaling damit at alahas para ipakitang sila ay nabibilang sa mataas na antas ng lipunan. The way they act and the way they dressed says so.  

They greeted and smiled with each person they came to cross with but in the deepest part of their mind, they’re assessing each and everyone present in the party, comparing their dresses and pieces of jewelry to the others. Tinitingnan kung sino ang may pinakamahal na damit at pinakamalaking dyamante sa suot na mga alahas.  

Tahimik na nakatayo sa isang sulok si Fabian, hindi siya nakikita ng kaniyang mga bisita at malaya niyang pinagmamasdan ang mga taong dumalo sa kaniyang engagement party.  

Hawak ang isang kopita na may laman na wine habang ang isa naman ay may nakaipit na umuusok na tabako, tinunga niya ito nang hindi nilulubayan ng tingin ang mga bisita. He knew almost all of these people. Colleagues, business associates, and friends from the highest class of society, the society where he belonged, the society that talks nothing but money and power.  

“Sir, the party’s about to start in 10 minutes,” his secretary informed him. Nakasunod pala ito sa kaniya.  

“Okay,” walang ganang tugon ni Fabian. This engagement is purely for business only. Business with pleasure. He smirked thinking what Vira and he did a few hours ago in his condo. That woman is so wild and experienced in bed. Not bad to be his future wife, at least he gets to enjoy her body while sucking off the resources of their business. Well, he can suck Vira’s firm and rounded mounds, too.  

Tinunga niya ang natirang wine sa kopita at walang-lingong binigay iyon sa sekretarya niya na nakatayo lang sa gilid niya. He’s like an obedient dog waiting for his master’s command.  

“Dumating na po si Ms. McIntosh kasama ang daddy niya, Mr. Romano, and she was looking for you,” Markus informed him.  

He nodded and puffed on the cigar twice.  

“Let’s go,” he headed to where the crowd was enjoying, and he was greeted by each person he passed. Binabati siya sa kaniyang engagement, ang iba naman ay pinupuri ang kaniyang itsura. 

Namataan niya ang ina na nakangiting nakikipag-usap sa mga bisita. Bakas sa mukha nito ang saya at galak na sa wakas ay naikakasal na din ang nag-iisa nitong anak. Of all the people at this party, it’s only his mother that has the most genuine smile that was plastered on her beautiful face. For Fabian, his mother was the only person whom he can trust with everything he had. Ito lang ang nag-iisang tao na naniwala sa kaniya noong mga panahong wala pa siyang napapatunayan.  

His mother was all smiles as he approached her. She looked so regal and elegant with her peach floor-length dress adorned with beads and crystals. Her pixie-cut hair was not colored revealing streaks of gray hair which made her look elegant and regal. A magnificent 4.82 carat of a blue sapphire surrounded by accompanying diamonds is the only jewelry that adorned her neck.  

He smirked at what he saw, he bet his mother was bombarded with questions about the elegant jewelry that made her look like a queen. He gave it to her on her 70th birthday as his birthday present.  

“Hijo, Vira’s been looking for you, where have you been? The party’s about to start,” Susana Castro cast a stern look at his son. Hindi nito nagustohan ang ginawang pagbalewala ng anak na si Fabian sa fiancée nito. Fabian just shrugged his shoulders.  

“I know, ma,” dumukwang si Fabian para bigyan ang halik ang inang si Susana. “You should be with her now. Tatawagin na kayo sa stage anytime now,” There's a hint of disapproval in his mother’s voice, nevertheless, her expression is soft and considerate. This is what he loves about his mother, she has this warm heart that one would always notice. Napakabait nito 

He looked around and spotted the woman he was looking for, sporting a red bodycon dress with plunging neckline to reveal a generous amount of a very gorgeous pair of cleavage, Elvira McIntosh is one hot woman any man would die for to have her in his bed. She looked slutty but classy, his kind of woman. Sinipat niya ang itsura nito, napakaganda nito sa suot.  

Nilapitan niya ito at gulat ang unang rumehistro sa maganda nitong mukha nang makita siya pero napalitan rin ng isang mapang-akit na tingin. A seductress, indeed.  

“Fabian!” masaya nitong bati nang makita siya. She should be, he let her come so many times just this morning. Hindi niya tinigilan hanggang sa mangisay ito sa sarap. 

“Fabian, glad you’re here now,” si Arnold McIntosh, the founder and CEO of McIntosh Realty, he’s soon-to-be father-in-law.  

“Good evening, sir. I’m sorry, I got an urgent call from one of my engineers,” he lied. Inilahad niya ang kamay sa matandang negosyante para makipagkamay, at tinanggap naman nito. 

The man was smiling from ear to ear, probably very happy that his daughter is going to marry the most eligible bachelor in the business world, not to mention that Fabian Romano is a very good-looking man with a thick pocket.  

Arnold McIntosh owns one of the biggest real-estate companies that is based mainly in the west. Widowed at the age of fifty, he spends most of his time with younger women, rumors have it that he’s filthy when it comes to bed, a dirty old man with dirty and kinky habits.  

“Call me dad already, you and my dearest Vira are engaged, we can skip formality now. Besides, you’ll be my son-in-law a few months from now,” humalakhak ito.

“Thank you, Luigi. You look good yourself, too.” She shyly smiled at him. What a deceitful little imp. One look at her, and people would see an angel.  

Elvira bit her lower lip when she felt the familiar tingling sensation whenever Fabian touched her, she loved that feeling. Naalala niya ang nangyari kaninang umaga at nagdulot iyon ng libo-libong sensayon sa kaniyang katawan. Everyone’s attention was directed to the emcee talking at the center stage, it was a make-shift stage adorned with glittery gold designs, an elegant representation that this engagement is a union of the two most powerful and successful companies not just in the country but also abroad.  

Elvira hooked an arm around his and pushed her body to get closer to him, her soft breasts pressed against the hard muscles of his arm, the breast that he ravished just last night and this morning. The crowd erupted in applause to the couple who was smiling on their way to the stage.   

“C’mon, we’re being called on stage.” Fabian held Vira’s elbow and guided her up to the stage. She was smiling with pure joy and pride as she settled herself beside Fabian, both holding a glass of Champagne.  

That night, Fabian Luigi Romano was bound to marry Elvira McIntosh. A union made without love but with lust.
