Skye's POV After rejecting Damian, I could still hear the echo of Logan’s howl in my ears. It was raw, agonizing, and filled with something that twisted painfully in my chest. Lyra had howled too. The sound of her cry was like the tearing of silk. Like the very soul of the bond between them had been ripped in half. The noise haunted me. Even now, days later, I couldn’t stop hearing it.
