I am not very sure what is happening right now but if I have any common sense I might think that Liam wants the attacker to untie him and fight him one-on-one. The man towering over Liam is not a small man and by small I mean he is almost as chiseled as Liam are, maybe even bigger. It is not that I do not think that Liam can not take him, it is just that should the man get in some sort of a punch, Liam would be in severe pain.
