Daniel had coaxed Carlos over to join him. He wanted Carlos to keep the friend of the woman he was hitting on company. Carlos seemed hesitant but went anyway because that is what friends do for each other. Though he doesn’t seem hesitant now, he seems to be enjoying the woman’s company. I get it; she is gorgeous and looks more his age. It is probably a bonus for him that she isn’t his student or his friend’s little sister.
“Does that not bother you?” Claire asks.
“Does what bother me?”
“Seeing him flirting and getting a little cozy with another woman?” she says.
I shake my head, “No, why would it?”
“Because you two have something going on,” Melody pipes in.
I shrug, “We are having s*x. It isn’t like we are dating or together. He can do as he pleases. He is single.”
