I have been waiting for Kyla’s payback all week, but it hasn’t come. I am sure she has a plan in her head, but I can’t think about that tonight. I have been invited to Daniel’s place for drinks and food. Kyla will be there too, with her friend Melody. Claire is away with her family this weekend and won’t be there. There will also be other people there, Daniel’s friends. I know a couple, but not them all. I don’t know how I am going to deal with being in the same room as Kyla, knowing she is waiting to strike at any time, and I need to behave. I need to play everything off like I am only her professor and brother’s friend. It will be easier said than done.
