Roseanne looked at herself in the mirror.
Everyone was showering her with praise, as the clothes perfectly complimented her. She could see how the seamstress had worked hard to perfect everything. It was the first thing that seemed grand in her closet—probably because it was used inside the palace. The color is also the color of the duchy.
She was representing her family.
“Marianne,” she called, looking back at the woman. “Is there still no news from Daniel?”
Conflicted, the woman had only bowed before her, “I am afraid that the Duke would be missing his attendance, Your Grace.”
