Severin was terrified about the conversation.
The high priest looked at him fully knowing what he needed to know. Severin had already heard snippets of what happened to his wife, he just wanted some clarification. Or at the very least, what had happened to her.
“I assume you wanted answers,” he said, looking straight at the man.
There are things that he could say to the Duke. But from his anxiousness, he could say that Severin is already informed of a small variation in what is happening. He wasn’t stupid, and he knew that the man wouldn’t risk the whole trip if he didn’t believe what his theories were.
