I stormed into the living room, only to find it empty. Another piercing scream cut through my ears, and I had to go to the next room to see if it was coming from there. The Crown Prince's suite comprised quite a few of those, and each time I reached one, the sound emerged from the next one. Finally, I was at the main door that led to the hallway, with no Nero still in sight. I remembered Ruhn's request clearly, but– I couldn’t ignore it if it was Nero screaming.It wasn't even a question.
I opened the door and bumped into Enzo's hard chest as he tried to block my way out.
"Onyx, go back inside!" he growled.
"Too late!" Conrad's voice made me shudder. Of course, it was him! And yet… even the slightest possibility of Nero being hurt was worth checking.
"Where is Nero?" I looked
