Serena stared at herself in the mirror. Her big blue eyes sparkled with a renewed sense of determination. She lifted her chin up high and she smoothed back her blonde hair which was now crisp and clean. She wore a new dress, one that was freshly laundered, and a perfume that made her feel confident in herself and had the added bonus of not making her want to throw up from the smell. "I can do this," she told herself firmly, staring at her reflection "I can do this." But her reflection seemed to mock her.
