Fighting the inevitable.
Hani was counting on through the seconds.
She was in the point where she knew that she was worried that her husband would not come back to her, safe and sound. Hani remembered the fact that she had been in this tango for months now and she know better that the pack could survive in a mere attack that was supposed to be a surprise. It was already surprising that he had caught onto it before it could even cause damage to the pack. To know that her husband could detect something from minutes away still surprises her sometimes.
