I spent a few minutes in my car to calm my senses. I had cried a little too hard and I need to fix myself first before I go back to his office. I shoot one text to Miles to tell him that I have something to do inside the CEO’s office and after a few seconds, he was already calling. “What happened?” he asked me in a worried tone. I pursed my lips and took a deep breath. He doesn’t need to know that I just finished crying. I don’t want him worried about me. “Nothing,” I replied. “Clayton just wants me to finish a report.” “And you have to do it inside his office?!” I sighed and leaned on the headrest. “That’s what he said,” I replied because that is the truth.
