EDWARD WILLIAMS
I got in after everyone was settled in the lounge room. When I say everyone, I am including both my parents and Lauren’s parents, my sister and her husband. I called the meeting earlier this morning while I was still in the city. I am sure that they were expecting me to walk in with Lauren but, I am about to drop a bombshell on them.
I greet them before I can sit down. Their eyes wander like they lost something.
“Where is my daughter?” Can the old man chill?
“She won’t be joining us,” I say.
“Where is my daughter, Edward? I haven’t spoken to my daughter in days, I demand to know, where is my daughter?” Oh, God. The meeting hasn’t started yet but Chief Montez is all ready to bite my head off.
