General Abaddon stepped off the Jehoshaphat transportation tube, past the doors which sealed the bridge off from anyone but someone with authority. There was a tingle of anticipation among the crew. This jump, maybe they would get some answers?
"Report?" he asked.
Lieutenant-Captain Shzzzkt tilted his heart-shaped green head.
"Forty-two minutes to arrival, Sir," Shzzzkt said. "The Invincible couldn't pick up any radio signals or signs of settlement before our latest leap, but Matriarch Derketo insists the colony is here."
Abaddon settled down into his commander's chair. One by one, the rest of his communications liaisons trailed in and took their seats at the flats
