I flare my wings and catch myself before I splatter onto the ground.

I flap my wings to hover and stare up at the eagle's head. It's a massive rock formation which juts straight upward from the place where one mountain joins with another, the eagle's wings. Balanced precariously facing east, a hooked boulder hangs, resembling a beak.
