1583 Words

"The patient’s fine now. Just overworked. Make sure she gets enough rest from now on." Nancy had just opened her eyes when the Healer’s voice slipped right into her ears. She tried to sit up, gripping the edge of the bed. Clang— Matthias jumped, dropping the fruit knife to the floor. "You’re awake? I’ll get the Healer!" Even with that injury on his leg making him limp, he dashed out like he’d caught fire. His voice echoed down the hallway. "Healer! She’s awake!" Nancy barely managed to prop herself up with the pillow, hadn’t even had time to take a full breath when the door slammed open. "Luna! Finally!" The dramatic wail that followed could’ve been straight out of a soap opera. Nancy rolled her eyes. "I’m awake, not resurrected." Weill cried even harder.
