CHAPTER 52: A DEAL WITH A STRANGER
EVERLY:
I was startled when I heard that voice but I hid my fear with a stoic face. I didn't want the people around to take me for easy prey. So I turned and faced him squarely.
“What?” I asked nonchalantly.
“You shouldn’t be asking questions like that around here.” he growled.
He was leaning against the wall, and his arms were crossed as he studied me. He looked a bit amused, but there was something dangerous about him.
“Who are you?” I asked.
He smirked. “A legit member of this pack and someone who knows how these things work. Information isn’t free, you know.”
I sighed, pulling out another coin. “Do you know anything about Evan? He's my long lost brother and I must find him as soon as possible”
