CHAPTER 77: FIRST ASSIGNMENT

I turned around and headed back to the royal pack house, but Owen's voice came into my head through the mind link. “Alpha, I need to see you .”
I ignored him and entered my chamber. But he was right there waiting. “What do you want,” I thundered once I saw him.
Owen took a deep breath “Alpha, Marcus has taken over Silver Cross. Viktor’s fall left a power vacuum, and Marcus filled it before anyone could act. He declared himself Alpha and crowned Seraphina as his queen.”
I growled in anger as my chest rose and fell. Marcus—the rogue leader. That filthy bastard had been circling like a vulture, waiting for a moment of weakness.
“Get me Evan,” I ordered and took a seat. Evan entered my chamber in a flash. He seemed eager to please me.
