I was worried about the unnatural glow I saw in Everly's eyes during that fight and decided to keep an eye on her.
The evening breeze had begun to stir the trees when I headed to her room. I walked into her room and found her sitting on her bed, totally drenched in cold sweat.
“Are you alright?” I enquired gently as I strode towards her. I could see her chest heaving and her face pale.
“What's wrong, Everly?”
“I had a nightmare,” she said softly.
“What was it about?”
“An unseen force crept into my body and I felt suffocated,” she narrated breathlessly.
