CHAPTER 124: I NEED AN ANSWER
EVERLY:
Shortly after we got back to the pack house, Kaelan returned from his meeting. The look on his face was terrifying as I rushed out to welcome him.
He looked quit but the tension in his body was evident.
“Welcome, Kaelan.” I greeted but he ignored my greetings and grabbed my shoulders. His grip was firm but it wasn't hard enough to make me feel pain. His golden eyes scanned me from head to toe, as if he wanted to be sure I wasn't injured.
“Are you hurt?” He sounded worried.
“I didn't even get into the car, so I'm fine.”
“Good,” he muttered as he continued to hold my shoulders. But his hands trembled slightly as he held me. I don't know if it was anger or fear but Kaelan's hands trembled for the first time since I’ve known him.
