After several minutes have passed, it's quite evident that Hunter has given up. I can no longer hear him searching the hallways for me. So I decide to come out of my hiding spot and go back to work. It's nearly the end of my shift anyways, and many of my colleagues have gone home for the day. As I walk back into the hallway, I see Martha, one of the nurses and Chandra, the nursing assistant getting ready to close and lock up the building.
"You guys head out. I'm going to stay behind and catch up on some of my files." I say, with a lopsided grin.
