“How’s the first day?” Ms. Catarina asked while serving the food she had prepared on the table. She had that warm, excited smile when she asked that question.
“It went smoother than expected,” I answered, arranging two plates on the table. “I really thought I’d mess up the task you'd given me. I was so nervous while cleaning Master Lassrin’s office,” I confessed with a relieved smile.
“But you did great,” the old maid responded with a broad smile. “That was a good start. Keep it up and you’ll gain the masters’ favors in no time,” she added.
“I hope so,” I murmured, thinking about how that grumpy Demitri treated me back then. “By the way, I met Master Feston while I was on my way downstairs,” I informed her, since I felt like she had to know.
