I walked to our room, carrying Candice in my arms. She fell asleep on my chest earlier. She must have slept late last night. I laid her on the bed and chuckled when she tossed and turned. I lowered the curtain, plunging the room into complete darkness. While she was soundly sleeping, I turned the AC on and pulled the blanket over her body to warm her up. I kissed her on the forehead and left the room, turning off the lights behind me.
A warrior stood outside the door of my office and greeted me. I crossed my arms and stopped.
"Alpha," he said and bowed. I nodded at him, and we both entered my office. I sat in my chair and waited for him to talk.
"I am here to report about what happened last night in Luna's room," he said. I straightened up and clasped my hands together.
"Go on."
