When I watch him plunge the dagger down my heart stops. I'm already moving toward him with my claws and canine's out. Maverick and I rip him apart. When we stand, we look over to Alexia and she is glowing again. The dagger is laying on the floor next to the cot. I look to her stomach, and she has no stab wound from the dagger. Our pups protected her again I start to cry. I fall down at her side and Maverick is right next to me. When we lay our hands on her the glow fades. Alexia baby please wake up. She doesn't move but I'm sure that whatever he gave her is still affecting her. I'm just about to pick her up when we hear a cough. We turn to see the Beta is still alive amazingly. Maverick runs up the stairs yelling at the warriors to get the pack doctor. He comes back
