We raced out the door after Jason was killed, leaving his dead body behind in search of the Alpha. It was the first time I’d been outside of that cursed house since I’d been brought here and while that wasn’t very long ago, it felt like ages. Paisley had ended up fainting, and one of the elites was carrying her back to the pack. He was a particularly brave man, I’d have to give him that, because there was a chance she’d wake up in his arms and try to kill him. I told him to get my sisters to be there for her when she woke up, hoping that their faces being similar to mine, and their young age would be enough for her to be calm and patient until I got there. I wasn’t worried about her hurting them, she wouldn’t harm someone who hadn’t harmed her first, especially kids her own age.
