Lexi POV
“Annie!! Annie!!… it’s time to get ready, your grandparents will be here any minute.” I shout out to my daughter across the training field as she ignores me completely.
“Annie Blackwood! Don’t ignore me!” I call out again as she kicks and punches the cushioned pads being held up by Austin.
“Austin! It’s time to stop!” I call out again this time targeting her sparing partner.
“Okay Luna!” he shouts back in reply as he lowers the pads. “Let’s call it a day tiger.” he laughs as Annie rests her hands on her knees and catches her breath.
“Mom! I was just getting the hang of a new technique!” she mutters in annoyance as they both approach the pack house.
“Well you know full well that your grandparents will be here for dinner soon. They haven’t missed the last 15 birthday dinn
