~Ryan's POV~
The sound of Emma's heart monitor was the most annoying yet soothing sound to my ears. She was alive. But still unconscious, the doctors saying she's in a mild coma out of exhaustion, running more test as I sat at her side. Wires were hooked up to her from her arms, chest, along with an oxygen mask. When her mother saw, she broke down in tears, never imagining seeing her little girl in such a situation.
"Here, Ryan," Mack, handed me a cup of coffee. I accepted it with my good hand: the right. He sat in the seat beside me once occupied by Linda and Chase until she had to put him to bed. "How is she?"
I took a sip before replying. "Same," I sighed. It's been a complete twenty-four hours since Emma passed out after the police arrived and she has yet to wake up. "Where's Alec?
