After Emma donated blood to save Mae, she came and found me while we waited for her sister to wake up. She confessed the secret she had dangled in front of me – another manipulation.
Eight years ago, Mae unknowingly spent a heat cycle with me. Apparently, she was drunk and in heat herself, without her suppressant medication, and wandered into my room by mistake. Just another heat episode of mine that I’ll never remember.
