Same characters and more. Philip. Aaron. I gotta give more names on Book 2. It will be about 200k words, estimated at 125 chapters in total.
As for a prequel, it’s probably going to center on Ariella’s story. A novella. About 10k to 15k words. But that’s going to be written after the series.
