Chapter 26 Later that night, we stood around in the small vacant lot behind Split, by Boone’s minivan. Kenya, Boone’s wife, was already seated in the driver’s seat, impatient to leave. I couldn’t blame her. It was nearing one in the morning. It had been a long night. My feet were killing me and I felt a headache looming.
