Elise smiled warmly at Fifi as the bard caressed her arm reassuringly.
“Don’t worry, Ellie, you’re going to do great. He’s going to say yes.” Fifi said, giving Elise a sweet smile.
Elise returned the smile with a more tepid one of her own. She was feeling nauseous, despite having taken one of Ichigo’s very helpful potions. That was probably because her symptoms were psychosomatic. It was stage fright, same as it always was when she was set to perform for a crowd larger than the ten or so who might gather around the hearth fire of an evening. Even then, she often just played her guitar rather than sing. Fifi was going to be the one playing, which she thought would be a load off. Now that she was standing on the stage, Elise found that her nerves were still very much present.
