Confusion is written all over his face as he searches my eyes. He doesn't see what I see and hasn't come to the same conclusion that I have. Maybe he truly believes what he says or maybe he just doesn't see it clearly from my perspective. He's given everything to the council - believes in their cause and their protection. He doesn't see that I'm nothing more than a loose end that eventually will need to be tied. "What happens when this is over?"
