Sebastian was suddenly blowing up my phone, and it was rather annoying. I had other things that needed my focus, and he certainly wasn’t one of them.
I muted the backup phone, grabbed the one everyone else contacts me on and headed downstairs to find my parents. I needed to let them know that I was having second thoughts.
“Mum,” I called out as I walked down the steps, only to be interrupted by my cellphone ringing.
It was Aiden.
“Oh, hold on. I’ll be right back.” I said as my mum popped out of the kitchen.
I stepped outside onto the veranda and answered the phone. I was guarded. I made my stance clear, and was confused why Aiden was calling again so soon.
