It has officially been one week, and as much as I wanted to say it gave me the clarity I needed, I was rested, but at the same time, there was a void.
I refused to admit that it was Sebastian.
I noticed subtle changes within me becoming more frequent—my hearing, for starters. I often picked up phone calls from people nearby, or the nurses would whisper gossip when they thought no one was around. I could detect fragrances from the hallway approaching, especially takeout food that Aiden would bring us.
I was beginning to wonder about the impossible.
Was I no longer wolfless? Was I simply latent, and it went unnoticed? Did my pups spark this? It would make sense; the timing was right.
