I sat on the bed, trying to make sense of the whole scenario before Ariel stormed out and none of it made literal sense to me. Perhaps it did, but I keep trying to convince myself that none of it made sense, because that would mean, all these years, I drowned myself in self-loath thinking Ariel died because of me when he didn't?
Ronin was his step-brother. That was the reason he lied to me that Ariel had died, but how did he know I was close to Ariel? Then he sent that note to the house mailbox address, because he knew what I had done or because he thought Ariel would come for me? What was his aim?
