Asher’s POV
“Watch out!” I was talking to her by looking at her from time to time, and for a second, when my eyes moved away from the road, a dog came to cross the road. I hit the break harder with Selene’s yell, and her forehead was about to crash on the vehicle’s dashboard. I quickly kept my palm on her forehead to prevent it from hitting harder on the dashboard.
“Are you OK?” I quickly removed my seat belt and checked on her.
Before I reached her, she quickly unlocked the door, shut it with a loud thud, and walked in front of the vehicle. She was lowered to her knee level, and I couldn’t see her because of the car bonnet. I quickly got down from the vehicle and looked for her. There she was, checking on a puppy who was shivering in fear.
