Samika's POV I went through four stacks of documents, old files and books but did not find Alpha Jerome's journals. And it's already midnight by the time I am exhausted. The door opens and I see Devon walk in with a tray of hot food that made me smile. "You did not come for dinner. So dinner came for you," he winks at me as he places the food before me. My stomach answers to his statement, by growling out loud and I am not even embarrassed at this point. "Did you eat?" I asked him as I took my first bite of the delicious lamb chop. "I was busy with work too. I expected to see you already eaten and asleep but Gladys told me that you didn't even go back to the pack house," he shrugs and I offer him a piece of the chop. He looks at the food I am offering and then at me, quite amused
