Valerie I opened my eyes to a familiar mahogany ceiling and soft sheets I never thought I'd be in again. Here, there was no scent of antiseptic in the air. Gone was the faint hum of sterile walls. I wasn't in the pack hospital anymore but the pack house. In my old room. Only a few hours after daybreak I was discharged by the pack doctor who advised me to rest.
