Lilian After soaking myself in warm water, my nerves finally managed to relax. Walking out of the bathroom I was about to go to my small kitchen to make myself a cup of hot chocolate, when my one and only guest came by the window. “ Hey there,” I said, picking up the cat food I had brought back. The cat jumped inside through the window. I crouched down, pouring some food for her. I parted her head while she was devouring her food. She wouldn't notice anyone in front of food. I smiled before I got up and went into my small kitchen. I made myself a cup of hot chocolate, which I really needed after a hectic and stressful day. Sipping on the hot chocolate I went to my study table and took out a book before I went to bed. Getting up on the bed I opened the book but my mind wasn't paying attention to the content of the book. It was rather on someone. Mr. Volkov, who are you? I asked looking out of the closed window. Why does he look so familiar when we are strangers? I asked myself. I placed my book down knowing I won't be able to focus tonight as my mind was playing tricks on me. I quickly finished my drink before I went to bed. Kent “ Matt,” “ Capo,” he replied instantly. I was still looking at the way she had left. Her smell still lingering in the air. “ Find out about her. Her past and present I want everything,” I ordered. “ Yes, capo,” he said. I couldn't leave the backyard of the hotel just yet. I was standing there watching her little house far away in the backyard which isn't safe at all for a girl. The lights of her apartment were still on. I couldn't leave her alone just yet so I waited for the lights to turn off before I went back. It didn't take long before the lights of her little apartment went off, taking the cue I went back into the hotel and to my room. Walking through the hallway I reached the reception area where I bumped into the manager. “ Mr. Victor,” he addressed with a stiff smile on his face. I gave him a curt nod. “ Would you like to have anything?” He asked. “ No.” I was about to turn around to go away when I remembered something. “ Come with me,” I said, looking at the staff present there. I can't ask him anything with so many people around. Nodding his head he followed us to the elevator. We went to my suite and I walked inside. “ Mason,” I said, putting my hand into my pocket. I couldn't see his face because my back was facing him. “ Yes sir,” “ I want all the information about the staff by tomorrow morning on my desk,” I said in my cold tone. I wasn't going to fiddle around knowing the danger going on here. “ Su… sure sir,” he replied, stuttering. “ this should stay between you and me,” I warned him, turning around to face him. He nodded his head at me breaking into sweat. “ You can leave,” I said, dismissing him. “ wait!!!” “ Yes,” saying that he turned around immediately. “ What is all this about the exam thing that girl Lilian was saying?” I asked, punching the bridge of my nose. I wasn't going to ask him about her but then I remembered her unshed tears. The manager's expression changed immediately with a pity look on his face. “ She is in her final year of business management,” he replied. “ Lilian is a very good girl with good grades. She is preparing to leave here and build her own business someday, that I know even if she doesn't tell me,” he said, I could sense the emotions in his voice. Is he in love with her? I clenched my fist. “ But the sad thing is she is an orphan and we all look after her. She is like a little sister to me,” he said. His words made me unclench my fist as I calmed down. “ you can leave now,” “ Sure,” he said, bowing his head before he left the suite. “ What is it?” I asked, glancing at matt. I knew he had his own questions in mind. “ Do you think that she is Lily?” He asked. “ you still remembered her name?” I asked. “ Yeah. No one ever showed kindness to me because I am a Mafia,” he replied. “ And she was the one who was willing to treat me and even gave me her blessings,” he added. “ If she is the person we were looking for 4 years ago, then I want to repay her kindness with my protection,” I said. I knew better than anyone. Drew will come for her if he knows that she is alive. Her parents were killed because of me. I can't bring them back but if she is alive I can protect her. With a sigh, I went to my room to take a long shower.
