Brenden was working a lot, and it was always an awkward afternoon shift that left them unable to do anything. Irene’s only consolation was that he told her he would be off six days in a row next week. That was a full six days of special condom wrapped goodness, and she couldn’t wait for the days to tick by.
She saw him at the hospital occasionally. One day, she was shipped off to ER, and it turned out he spent a lot more time there than her floor. Duty called. But what was annoying was how all the female nurses blatantly flirted with him there.
