Edmund raised an eyebrow and looked at me. "What did Cadell do to make you so upset?"
I lowered my gaze and gave a soft laugh. "I just feel like it's been dragging on too long. I want it to be over soon."
I didn't tell him the truth. After all, even Cyril didn't know the whole story.
Edmund seemed to understand that I didn't want to discuss it further, so he didn't press me. He simply nodded casually. "Alright."
I let out a sigh of relief. As long as Edmund agreed, my plan could move forward smoothly.
Feeling lighter, I discussed a few specific details with Edmund, then chatted with him for a while before getting ready to leave.
Just as I stood up, Edmund called out to me. "Aurora."
I turned to look at him. His gaze was filled with some complex emotions I couldn't fully decipher.
