Chapter Sixty-Four The break in didn’t seem random to me — it felt like Scotty had done it. I once read somewhere that if you were breaking up with a man, you should have an escape plan in place. I’d had one but it now felt like I hadn’t run far or fast enough away from him. Turning away from the balcony doors, I took the sheet back to the bed and then headed over to the bathroom.
