When we got close to the house, April’s phone started ringing. As soon as she pulled it out of her purse, I noticed that the caller’s number had shown up as ‘unknown’. April quickly declined the call and went to put her phone in her purse, when it started ringing again. She groaned, declining the call a second time, but before she managed to put it in her purse, it began ringing once more.
“Everything okay?” Bree asked, glancing at April.
“Yeah, it’s nothing,” April grumbled, hitting the ignore button repeatedly, hoping it would be the last time she needed to.
