Marlie’s POV I hurried to get Jayce and Abbie out of the office so that Damian could continue talking to the council members about the whole situation he and Caleb had. While I wanted to be there for the conversation, I knew it was important to get the children out of the way, and besides, someone needed to make sure everyone ate.
