Seren's P.O.V
A scorching hot sensation spreads quickly across my chest; forcing my limp body to arch up in pain. My fingers stretch out grasping the surface around me as I try to get through the agonizing sensations. I can feel my lungs slowly start to change to adapt to my surroundings. My large teal blue eyes flutter open and grow wide as my lungs expand and retract; finally making me be able to take in the air that I so desperately need to breathe. Moments pass as my heart starts to beat faster; thrashing against my chest from within me. The small slits situated behind my ears that I once used to filter out oxygen from the water of my planet start to close; new skin stitching itself over the old.
