Kiana’s POV The day Beth was coming back from London had arrived, and I could feel the excitement building inside me. I hadn’t seen her in months, and despite everything that had happened in my life recently, I missed her more than I had expected. She had always been my rock, the one person who understood me like no one else could. And now, after all this time apart, I could hardly wait to see her again. I stood in the kitchen of my apartment, staring out the window as the morning light spilled over the city. A mixture of nerves and anticipation buzzed in my chest.
