Third Person POV:
Rachel stared at the thin sheet of paper in her hand in disbelief. "Isn't there more to sign?"
Mr. Macklemore nodded. "This is simply the paper saying you'd like to adopt him, there will be much more in the future but first you'd have to get it approved."
"Approved?"
"Yes, you have to have your home approved, you have to be interviewed, they need to see how you interact with the child before sending them with you, etc."
She started to grow antsy in the plush chair. "How long can that take?"
"Weeks, sometimes months even." He answered giving her a sympathetic look. Her lips tilted into a frown.
"Is there anyway to speed up the process?"
"I can try and put in a word but there's many people on a waiting list."
"Do any want to adopt Ethan?"
