My mouth opened in a bugling honk of noise as I spread my arms, which happened to spread my wings.

The air caught them and jolted me hard enough I careened into a building, bounced off, and was heading for the ground again when instinct chipped in. I banked. Or turned. Did f*****g something that had me soaring again. Apparently I didn't need to concentrate too hard for my wings to know what to do.
Cool.
So cool, I had forgotten why I fell off the building in the first place.
The screams drew me back. I flew - yes flew, goddammit - back to the roof where I'd left Urion. Only Urion was gone, and in his place was a big beast.
And I mean big. Kind of like a dragon crossed with evil. Sp
